X Series are the taps that derive the maximum performance from most modern high facility machining centers and high precision toolings.

Original role of taps is to "cut threads". From this view point, YAMAWA has developed the most suitable cutting edge design from re-desining basic tap geometry.

Superb development in the run-out tolerance of whole tap and in shank roundness has enabled

the taps to cut consistent and high quality threads even in higher tapping s peed area.

PLUS SERIES

By adopting rennovated new tap blank and new design, Plus Series realize the longer tool life.

Features of "+SP", blind hole use  / Features of "+PO", through hole use

STANDARD TAP SERIES

Standard Tap Series provide consistent tappings at middle tapping speed area.

I SERIES for general purpose

I Series are special for manual operation and drilling machine use.

Roll Taps, having no cutting edges, form threads without producing chips. They are also called Thread Forming Taps.
Pipe Taps cut pipe threads in pipes and conduits.
Carbide Taps are made from ultra micro grain carbide which features high wear resistance and 

toughness.
